Letter: Noise from Quarry concert 'breaches my human rights'
Letter: I was quite shocked at the news item regarding moves to increase the noise limits for big name bands to perform in the Quarry.

I am a resident in Castlefields and feel that this an infringement of my human rights as I find the noise affects my life.
I have no doubt that a lot of people enjoy these big bands but please not where it is amplified and can be heard in residential districts. Why not use somewhere like Attingham Park - lovely setting, lots of space, easy parking and away from residential communities?
This is noise pollution at the highest level and I am sorry but it is not acceptable. I challenge Helen Bull's comment that it will help the environment and everyone is a winner. I am not everyone.
If there are 10 events during the warmer months - two to three each month - every other Friday or Saturday and I would have to endure this level of noise. I would welcome comments from the Environmental Health Department.
