Letter: Bike thieves have made my life much harder
Letter: Thanks to whoever thought it fine to trespass on private property and steal my bike in Underdale on June 13, despite the bike being locked.

The bike would have been worth very little to them but a great deal to me.
As a consequence of their actions I locked myself out of the house, missed an urgent appointment and have been late for work twice.
As a single mother struggling to work daily with the crippling discomfort of ME, through grim determination alone. I also rely on my bike to take the weight of my weekly groceries.
I am forced through circumstance to work in the evenings and must now walk home alone at 11pm through town in the dark since I have no friends or family to rely upon.
I appreciate that on a world scale this event is barely worth of a mention but it does demonstrate the ripple effect caused by the greed and selfishness of others.
