Letter: Listen to the musak

Letter: It is not possible now to contact Shropshire Council directly by telephone without going through a whole lot of "musak", apologies from a tape about "experiencing a high level of calls", and thanking me for "my patience" (I have little), or telling me to "go to 'www.' etc". I have no computer.

The standard of service is now so appalling, compared with 10 years ago, that you can waste hours hanging on and generating money for Shropshire Council, via the 0845 numbers.

Get some competent switchboard operators and sack the "call centre" that cannot cope.
