Letter: Does the Government care about older people?

Does the Government care? Being unable to look after themselves is something most older people dread. With help, they can continue to live independently in their own homes.

This right is being denied them by this uncaring Coalition Government. Government cuts in funding to Telford & Wrekin Council mean the elderly will see services cut and home care packages reduced.

These vulnerable people are victims of the Government's harsh policies. They should be treated with decency and respect.

This Government should be ashamed of the distress and anxiety it will cause to so many elderly and vulnerable people.
