Letter: What chance does he stand looking for a job?
I feel extreme concern for the young people who are leaving school, college etc who seek and find no employment. I do, however, see the other end of the age spectrum.

My husband, who has been employed all of his working life as a quantity surveyor and had every intention of continuing to work for many more years, unfortunately had his employment cut short by his employer being put into administration.
He is two months past 65, fit and well and with a wealth of experience and seeking further employment. No one bothers to reply, or even to say 'no, thank you'.
He has applied for full and part time work doing anything within reason with no response. What chance does he stand?
