About 17,000 homes and businesses in south Telford were without power this morning after a fault in the high voltage electricity system.
Properties in Ironbridge, Brookside, Stirchley and Dawley were affected by the power cut just after 9.30am.
Western Power Distribution spokesman Michael Clarke said: "We had a failure in the 33,000 volt network affecting about 17,000 properties in and around Ironbridge.
"All properties were back on within about 10-15 minutes. We are still investigating the cause and we are going to have teams out for the rest of the day testing the network and making any necessary repairs."
