Letter: Wettest drought on record continues

The wettest drought on record is still continuing in some areas apparently. Many famous and influential people have been encouraged to lend their support to the myth of global warming due to our carbon footprint.

One for example claimed recently that Britain had a semi-arid climate. Another claimed that the lower butterfly population was due to global warming. There is no need to refute these statements. The prevailing conditions do that copiously.

Silly claims are often a cover for the truth. The truth is that Britain has a comparatively high rainfall despite occasional drier periods but, massive increase in water use has exceeded the storage arrangements.

Rather than admit this lack of planning, it's blamed on a non-existent drought. The truth about human- induced global warming is that at best it is an unproved theory and at worst it is an excuse for many flawed decisions the costs of which are passed on to the public.

It has even gone as far as people being paid to invent ways of stopping the sun reaching us, for example, by firing a massive cloud of mirrors into space. Should this lunacy be tolerated?

The fact is that extremes of weather are common today with records kept for more than a century being regularly broken in every direction.

There is no need to invent theories to cover these problems.

The truth was declared by Jesus in the Bible 2000 years ago that the last days would be attended by a great increase in such troubles. This is what we are seeing.

Adverse conditions are unpleasant but are an expected proof of Bible prophecy and an opportunity to turn to God and share the Bible hope for the future.
