Star Billy Ocean to perform in Shrewsbury
Soul legend Billy Ocean is heading to Shrewsbury for a one-off county gig.
The singer, who had hits such as When The Going Gets Tough and Love Really Hurts Without You, will play at the Buttermarket nightclub in Shrewsbury on May 5 as part of a national tour.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale at 9am tomorrow.
Martin Monahan, owner of The Buttermarket, said: "We're absolutely delighted to be welcoming such a soul legend on to our stage, especially after the success of The Drifters packing the venue last week.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer something for everyone, all ages and all genres."
He added: 'We're expecting a huge demand for tickets when they go on sale tomorrow."
Following the concert, the venue will host a free soul and Motown after party until 3am.
