Letter: Our cash is given away
Here we go again. A report in the Star (September 17) says that International Development Secretary Justine Greening has announced another £50 million in aid to Somalia. This is on top of the already existing £80 million.

When is this government going to get the message from the people of this county, that enough is enough? We have our own population, some struggling to make ends meet, facing a winter of having to decide whether to eat or to keep themselves warm, and this government seems hell bent to go and help other countries, giving away money that we don't have, and the taxpayer again picking up the tab.
We, in this county are all facing cuts in one way or another, but not it seems our donations to the world.
