X Factor stars woo concert-goers in Shrewsbury
Two former X Factor hopefuls brought the house down with a concert appearance in Shrewsbury.[gallery]
Finalist Lorna Simpson and Giles Potter – who got to the 'Judges Houses' stage of the contest – appeared at The Buttermarket in Shrewsbury.
Martin Monahan, owner of The Buttermarket, said: "It really is great for X Factor fans, many of whom are families, to be able to watch their live performances up close and personal, and also get the opportunity to meet them afterwards and have their photograph taken with them."
He added: "Both Lorna Simpson and Giles Potter were amazing and the fans loved it.
"Potter told the audience that he intends to enter next year's X Factor in the hope of getting through to the live finals."
Fans were equally pleased with the performance and many took to Twitter to share pictures of themselves with the singers.
The Shrewsbury concert venue has seen a number of X Factor contestants in recent weeks, including Rylan Clark.
Shelley Smith,a finalist who left the show earlier this month, will perform at The Buttermarket on Saturday. N-Dubz star Dappy will perform at The Buttermarket on November 22.
