Three jailed for roles in Telford house burglaries
Three men have been jailed for the parts they played in the burglaries of two homes in Telford.
Many of the items stolen from one of the houses were found in the bedroom of one of the defendants.
James Hollinsworth, 22, of Boulton Grange, Randlay, Telford, and Nathan Baker, 22, of Pageant Drive, Aqueduct, Telford, admitted the burglary of a house in Pageant Drive, while Baker and Matthew Sylvester, 22, of Brunel Road, Dawley, Telford, admitted the burglary of a house in Majestic Way, Aqueduct.
Sylvester also admitted the burglary of a house in Daisy Bank Drive, Priorslee.
Baker was jailed for two years and eight months, Sylvester for two years and four months and Hollinsworth for 15 months.
A fourth man, Kieran Causer, 20, of Pageant Drive, was given a 12-month community order with a 16-week night-time curfew and an order to undertake a skills training programme after he admitted handling stolen goods.
The quartet appeared at Shrewbsury Crown Court on Friday. Mr Kevin Jones, prosecuting, said items stolen in the burglary of the house in Pageant Drive included jewellery and a camera while watches and mobile phones were among items stolen from the house in Majestic Way.
The court was told that shoe prints had helped with evidence against some of the defendents.
Counsel for the defendants said they all had previous convictions and had had difficulties throughout their young lives.
