Letter: Miliband's promises have earned my vote
Over the past few months each of the major parties have outlined to us the reasons why they should get our votes on May 7.
After careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that the only ethical and sensible way is to vote Labour.
Ed Miliband has given us assurance that the NHS, one of the greatest and most vital British institutions, will receive both the funding and support it needs from the government to flourish, and has made it clear that mental health will not be left behind as it has been for so long.
He has also stated that he will increase the minimum wage to £8 per hour by 2019, this will not only give a higher standard of living to those among us in low paid jobs, but also creates a greater incentive for the poorest in our society to work.
Given that Labour's plans include not only investment in our services but reducing the deficit and given that their Prime Ministerial candidate is the only leader not to have broken a promise (Clegg on tuition fees, Cameron on NHS reorganisation and cutting immigration) Labour seems the only logical option for anyone who wants to safeguard our country's great institutions.
