Woman sexually assaulted in Telford during broad daylight
A woman was sexually assaulted in broad daylight over the weekend.
The victim, in her late 30s, was walking along Silkin Way, between Madeley and Brookside, Telford, at 5.30pm on Sunday.
The assailant is described as a white man in his early 20s. He was about 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with brown hair down to his jaw line and a pale complexion, police said.
He was wearing a red or orange round neck T-shirt, blue jeans and light coloured trainers.
Detective Constable Ade Jones said: "This incident occurred in the early evening so we expect there were a number of people out in the area at the time and we're keen to speak to anyone who saw anything that may help with our inquiries or who knows someone who fits this description.
"As well as the investigation team being in the area we have increased patrols to provide reassurance to local residents."
