Shrewsbury 10k in pictures and video: Hundreds pound the pavements
Hundreds of runners laced up their trainers to pound the cobbles of Shrewsbury for the town's inaugural 10k run.

Organisers said they were delighted with the amount of athletes that took part and the support they had received from locals.
The route saw the centre of Shrewsbury closed on Sunday morning, as runners started on the High Street before running through The Mount, Copthorne Road, over the English Bridge, through the Quarry, and back through the centre of town.

Tom Meehan, race director, said: "It has been fantastic.
"We've had great support from runners and local people, the weather has been great.
"Shrewsbury is a great town for running, this is our first 10k and we are hoping that we can grow it in the future."

Mr Meehan said that because route was quite hilly, it was a great challenge, with both experienced runners taking part and some trying a 10k for the first time.
He said: "That's what we wanted, to make it accessible to everyone.
"It is a hilly town but with every up hill there is also a down hill, which is the way I like to look at it."
The event was kicked off by county celebrity chef Marcus Bean who let off a klaxon to mark the start.
Pupils from The Priory School performed music at the start line as the run took place, and handed out medals and water as people passed the finish line.
First man home was Paul Ward, a member of Telford Athletics Club who completed the run in 33 minutes and 30 seconds.
Mr Ward, from Priorslee said he was particularly pleased with his time as he had been injured over the winter, though the hilly course meant it was over a minute slower than his personal best.
The 49-year-old said: "I think it has been really well organised, there were lots of marshals all the way round and lots of people giving support.
"It is great that they managed to close the town centre for the run."
