The British Ironwork, which attracted thousands of visitors over the Easter weekend, is now applying to Shropshire Council for retrospective planning permission for the expansion at its headquarters off the A5 near Oswestry.

Problems were made public by Oswestry councillor, Duncan Kerr, who said he wanted a level playing field for all developments.

Chairman of the British Ironworks, Mr Clive Knowles, said the changes were made to accommodate a Royal visit by Prince Michael 2014.
