Jemima Gould, who is in year 12 at the school’s sixth form, has been selected by GB coaches after getting through a tough selection process.

She will now put together a training programme with the coaches which will run alongside her studies.

The training regime will start immediately and will develop over the next few years. Jemima is one of the youngest girls on the programme and the ultimate aim is that she will be trained to become a GB Rower as those on the programme have done before.

Her selection caps off an exciting week for Jemima, who has also been elected as deputy head girl at the school, where she is part of the SHS Boat Club, training with Head of Sport at the School, Sian Fenner and based at Pengwern Boat Club.
