They were made available again yesterday, selling the shares to ensure its future.

Around 140 supporters bought shares when they went on sale in 2016, with 32 per cent of the total being picked up by fans. But two potential investors were put off because of the limit on the number they could own.

After the 20 per cent cap was waived at the club board’s AGM last week, investors will be able to buy as many as shares as they like when they are re-released.

The club had initially offered 5,000 shares at £100 each in a bid to raise £500,000.

Chairman Ian Dosser previously said lifting the limit had not been done with anybody in particular in mind, but instead hoped it “take away a barrier” for those considering spending more than the limit.
