Lucky to be alive: AFC Telford player suffers broken arm, leg, hip and knee in 60ft fall
An AFC Telford football player is lucky to be alive after falling 60ft through a building.
Jordan Broome was airlifted to hospital after the fall in Stoke where he was working on a building with his father, and is said to have broken multiple bones.
Mr Broome, a 17-year-old central defender, has spent time in intensive care recovering from the accident on Saturday.
His club has now sent him messages of support as he recovers in hospital.
The teenager, who is also a pupil at Thomas Telford School in Old Park, has also thanked well-wishers.
A spokesman for the club said: "He's at least broken his arm, a leg, his hip, knee bone, and punctured his lung. He had at least 80 stitches.
"He was flown to a hospital in Stoke where he was in intensive care, but is now out of intensive care.
"We were quite concerned when we heard."
AFC Telford tweeted a message of support to Jordan saying: "All our thoughts at the club are with Jordan Broome who has suffered some horrific injuries following a nasty accident at the weekend.
"Everyone at the club would like to wish Jordan a speedy recovery."
The club has said they will offer all the support they can to Jordan.
Fans of the club, which plays at the New Bucks Head in Wellington, have also sent good wishes to Jordan.
Jordan tweeted thanking everyone for their support and saying: "Never felt so sore in my life."
