This aerial shot shows the Georgian mansion and Sher Brook which sits just in front of the historic building.

Taken on a late August evening, the images were taken on a drone by keen amateur photographer Graham Mitchell who runs Stafford Aerial Photography.

Writing on the Facebook page of Stafford Aerial Photography, Mr Mitchell said: 'I fly my UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) as a hobby and have created this page to share the images that I collect."

Other buildings he has captured include Stafford Grammar School, Grapes Music Bar and the Ancient High House in Stafford.

Shugborough Hall was built in 1695 and all major buildings including the mansion house, servants' quarters, working farm and walled garden still remain and events are held their all year round.

On Friday, the estate will host Bugborough Family Muck-In Day from 10.30am until 2.30pm, whilst next Wednesday a canoeing event will be held from 10.30am giving people the chance to take a turn on the manmade river behind the Mansion in a canoe seeing the gardens from a new perspective.
