Timothy Moule, 53, of Calder Close, Muxton, Telford, was jailed at Shrewsbury Crown Court, sitting at Telford Justice Centre, after admitting five charges.

The former headteacher, who held senior posts at schools in Telford and Wolverhampton, had previously pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children - in category A, B, and C, as well as breaching the terms of a previous sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), and making prohibited photos of children.

Back in 2018 Moule was jailed for 52 months after being found to have secretly filmed young children getting changed from their school uniform into their sports kit.

On that occasion police also found Moule in possession of more than 3,000 indecent images he had amassed over an 11-year period.

The children in the images ranged from two to 11. The court heard that they were seen to be in pain and distress.

The latest offences came to light after police became aware of a social media account and an email address linked to the defendant, using the name Tom_thumb999.

Lizzie Banahan, prosecuting, said the person behind the email address had uploaded category A, B and C images of children to the internet.

The activity had come to light from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, who passed the details onto West Mercia Police, who sent officers to Moule's home.
