As part of his UK tour, former teacher turned nostalgic sensation James B Partridge will bring his new festive show to Market Drayton on December 7.

Featuring the best Christmas songs of your youth alongside classic primary school bangers, the unique live show will arrive at Festival Drayton in the North Shropshire town and promises a great festive night out for the whole family.

What started as a few playful posts on social media with James performing iconic school songs to entertain his students, soon developed into something a lot bigger. As his videos grew popular, 'Primary School Assembly Bangers' was born, and James has since taken his live version of the school assembly across the UK and appeared at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

The Big Christmas Assembly tour is set to bring joy and laughter to a Shropshire audience through sing-alongs of beloved Christmas carols and all-time favourite school assembly hits including Jingle Bells to This Little Light of Mine.

James said: “I’ve always loved how the songs we sang as children at Christmas time brought so much joy and excitement. The Big Christmas Assembly is a celebration of those songs and the fun we had, whether it was singing in assemblies or practising for the Christmas nativity. I can’t wait to see the audience relive those moments.”

The music teacher's journey has taken him from classrooms to some of the biggest stages in the UK. James has performed with Gareth Malone’s Voices at the Royal Variety Show and provided vocals for major artists including Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and the Electric Light Orchestra.

But, going solo with his tour, James has since appeared on BBC Breakfast, The One Show, CBBC Newsround and BBC Scotland with additional features on ITV This Morning, BBC Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine, Scott Mills and Tom Allen’s Virgin Radio show.

Tickets for the show at Festival Drayton are on sale and available from jamesbpartridge.com.
