BMW seized by police in Shrewsbury after cars caught racing

Police have seized a BMW in Shrewsbury after cars were witnessed racing in an anti-social manner.

West Mercia Police officer and PCSO for Harlescott and Sundorne, Conor Browne posted on the force's Neighbourhood Matters page today (October 1) reporting the incident.

Whilst on patrol during Halloween on October 31, officers witnessed two cars racing in an anti-social manner on Battlefield Road in Shrewsbury.

Enquiries by police revealed that the drivers were driving without a valid license or insurance.

The white BMW car was seized by West Mercia Police and Harlescott and Sundorne's Safer Neighbourhood Team.

The post said: "Whilst out on patrol on October 31, officers have witnessed two cars racing in an anti-social manner on Battlefield Road. 

"Enquiries with the drivers' revealed that they were driving without a valid driving license or insurance."
