Telford Magistrates Court was told that Declan Hewson went into the police station in Malinsgate on July 21 this year to report an incident where he had something thrown at the Black Audi Q5 that he was driving.

Sara Beddow, prosecuting, said it was about 9pm on the Sunday and officers 'smelled cannabis' on him.

He fully co-operated with officers over having a blood test which came back with a reading of 6.7 micrograms of THC (a component in cannabis) per litre of blood, when the legal limit for cannabis is 2mcg per litre, the court was told.
