In Newport, the annual parade saw past and present members of the armed forces march alongside dozens of community groups in the annual Remembrance parade on Sunday.
The following day, the town's Armistice Day commemorations took place at the well-tended dozen war graves at Newport General Cemetery to mark the day when the guns of the First World War fell silent across the shell-shattered trenches and blood-soaked battlefields of the Western Front in 1918.
In Market Drayton, the annual Festival of Remembrance was held at St. Mary's Church on Sunday, with a packed parade leading from Queens Street car park to the church.
The parade then marched from the church to the war memorial, where Mayor Roy Aldcroft laid a wreath on behalf of the town council and other organisations.
On Sunday, a short service was held at the Cenotaph and wreaths were laid at the British Legion Commemorative Garden in the town park.
Mayor Aldcroft said: “Well done to the Royal British Legion, the town council, and all the service, ex-service, emergency personnel and other organisations who took part in the Remembrance parade and service on Sunday.
"To see so many people lining the route and around the cenotaph was such a clear message that the conflicts of the past and the suffering they caused have not been forgotten. Big thanks to the Legion club for hot food and hospitality after the parade.
"I must say it was brilliant to see so many youngsters in the church, parade and in the RBL after. The parade is a credit to their leaders and organisation. Hopefully, they will be the next generation to keep this important act of remembrance in the future."
