A Dispersal Order has been put in place after Dyfed-Powys Police received several reports of anti-social behaviour within the Newtown East ward.

Police said these reports were in relation to youths targeting various locations and "carrying out a wide array of acts" that have caused "considerable harassment, alarm and distress to members of the public within the locality".

The Dispersal Order was put in place on Monday and will run until 9pm on Wednesday, November 13.

The Dispersal Order gives police extra powers to move anyone believed to be causing a nuisance, harassment or distress out of the area, and covered areas including Newtown skate park, the high school, McDonalds, Broad Street, Wesley Street and Newtown east ward.

Officers are encouraging people living in Newtown to continue to report anti-social behaviour, while also urging parents to be aware of where their children are and what they are doing.
