Alan Briscoe, aged 62, collided with his victim near Havana nightclub in Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, on August 1, 2022.
The jury at Shrewsbury Crown Court were out for around an hour before they came back with a unanimous guilty verdict to a charge of causing bodily harm.
Earlier in the trial, CCTV footage was shown to the court of the victim, Mr Robert Taylor, stepping into the road outside Abbey Hardware at around 10.20pm.
The mobility scooter then appeared to come into contact with Mr Taylor, who fell, before getting up, holding his arm and stumbling away.
Evidence from witness Christopher Lee described Mr Taylor as having a fracture which “protruded through the skin and retracted”, leaving behind a hole the size of a 5p or 10p piece.
