Another car has hit a property in Shropshire in an overnight road traffic incident - the third in a week.

The crash occurred in Pontesbury in Shrewsbury

The fire service said it got a report of the crash at around 11.40pm and sent three fire engines.

A spokesperson said the incident involved "one private motor vehicle in to detached property".

"Fire crews made vehicle electrically safe and continued to use thermal image camera to monitor temperatures," the spokesperson added.

The incident follows a crash on Sunday, which saw a BMW plough into a house in Ketley, Telford.

On Monday, a lorry crashed into the Three Fishes Pub in Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury.

And on Wednesday, Dawley Baptist Church was damaged when a car hit its wall.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “Police were called at around 11.15pm last night to the A488, to a single vehicle collision where a car has collided with a house. There were no injuries. Fire attended to make the building safe.”
