Fire crews and police scrambled to Oswestry town centre flat fire

Three fire engines and the police were scrambled to a flat fire in Oswestry town centre.

No persons were reported to be injured in the incident at Bailey Street, which happened at 12.18pm.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire & Rescue said the incident involved a fire within the bathroom of a flat to the rear of the building.

Crews from Baschurch, Ellesmere and Oswestry who attended with an operations officer put the fire out with two hosereel jets. 

Crews also used four sets of breathing kit  and two thermal cameras.

The incident stop message was received at 1.11pm.
