School children host loved ones to mark National Grandparents Day

During October, Moor Park School hosted the event to coincide with the national day that was set up by the charity Age Concern.
After an assembly with performances by the grammar school's choir, children took their grandparents for a tour of the school ending at the Old Library for ‘match tea’.
Grandparents Day was first introduced in the UK in 1990 by Age Concern, and celebrates the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
The Ludlow school was pleased to play their part in the event and get pupils and their grandparents involved.
A spokesperson for Moor Park School said: "We were delighted that so many of our school families joined us at this special occasion, recognising the significant impact of grandparents on the lives of their grandchildren, and thanking them for their support, love and care.
"It is our hope that this becomes a regular event in the school calendar and that the multi-generational aspect of our school community is celebrated for years to come."
