Bridgnorth firefighters were called out twice in the town on Sunday morning following reports of flooding affecting electrics.

The first call came into Shropshire Fire and Rescue from Cartway at around 9am.

One team from Bridgnorth Fire Station attended the scene, where they found the affected circuit had been isolated before their arrival. The crew undertook an inspection of the property and advised those present.

Just 20 minutes after the team had wrapped up their work on Cartway a second call came in at 9.54am.

One Bridgnorth crew rushed over to Ludlow Road, where a burst water pipe had also affected electrics at a property.

The stop message, which indicates the scene was under control, was received at 10.12am.
