HGV fire on busy A442 in Telford in rush hour - firefighters on the scene
An HGV caught fire on a busy Telford carriageway this morning during rush hour.
Three fire engines were sent to the A442 Queensway, although the blaze was out when firefighters arrived.
A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "At 8.11am on Wednesday, November 27, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an HGV fire in Telford.
"One large vehicle involved in fire which was out on arrival of crews. Crews used one hose reel jet to cool."
Fire engines were sent to the scene from Telford and Wellington. An operations officer was also in attendance.
