The Chetton Heritage Museum at Lower Cockshutt Farm on the B4364 is focused on local aviation pieces and World War II memorabilia.
The museum has obtained a lot of small relics from local aircraft crashes from professional digs that have been collected over many years. There are also a few newer exhibits.
Exhibits include a R 100 Airship, Vickers Wellington MK III, Vickers Wellington MK II, Hawker Siddeley Harrier, Lockheed P-38, De Havilland Mosquito Mk II. P37 Thunderbolt, B17 Flying Fortress, Submarine Spitfire and Heinkell HE III.
The museum also contains relics from an air crash at Eudon Mill in Eudon Burnell, which occurred on September 8, 1943 when a BJ621 Wellington III went down while travelling from Chipping Warden in Northamptonshire.
A Harrier jump jet will be on display outside the museum where children can be photographed, providing they are supervised.
The Chetton Heritage Museum opens on December 1 from 11am until 4.30pm.
