Local organisations have been invited to decorate trees for the Christmas Tree Festival at St Edward’s Church which will take place from Friday, December 6 until Sunday, December 8.

The festival will be open from 10.30am until 4.30pm each day and Knighton Handbell Ringers will play at the church on Saturday afternoon.

Last year a Rotary Club tree showed all the organisations the charity has raised money for, Stowe and Stanage Women’s Institute created an eye-catching white tree, Trefoil Guild made one using climbing ivy and the Radnorshire Brownies tree came with cuddly toys.

There were also trees from The Royal British Legion tree, Knighton Primary School, Teme Valley Gardeners, Restorella, The Flower Box, Women’s Hour at the Comm, and Knighton Men’s Shed.

The festival started in 2019 but then had to stop during Covid, before coming back again.
