Treasurer accused of stealing £170,000 from church and two Shropshire Scouts groups
A man has denied stealing £170,000 from a church and two Shropshire Scouts groups for which he was a treasurer.

Desmond Rodgers, aged 51, is accused of taking £126,000 from St Andrew's Church in Shifnal, £28,000 from Madeley Scouts and £16,000 from Shifnal Scouts, between January and September last year.
He is charged with three counts of theft, one from each group, and attended Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday (December 10) to plead not guilty to each count.
