Emergency services rush to road near Shropshire border after three-vehicle crash

Emergency services were called to a 'B' road near the Shropshire border last night after a three-vehicle smash.

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 6.04pm on Saturday reporting the road traffic collision on the B5069, St. Martins Road, that connects Gobowen with St. Martin's

One fire crew was sent from Oswestry Fire Station to the scene. Land ambulance crews and police also attended.

The road traffic collision involved three vehicles. Firefighters used small gear to make them electrically safe.

Three casualties were treated at the scene by paramedics.

A social media post by Oswestry Fire Station said: "Crews worked alongside the Land Ambulance Service and Police to safely manage the scene. Using small tools, firefighters made the vehicles electrically safe, ensuring the incident posed no further risks. 

"Three casualties were assessed by paramedics at the scene.This incident highlights the importance of driving carefully, particularly at night when visibility is reduced and road conditions can change rapidly."

The incident was left with the police and concluded at 6.31pm.
