HGV and two cars involved in rush hour crash on Shropshire/Wales border

Emergency crews rushed to a crash between an HGV and two cars near the Shropshire/Wales border this morning.

The collision happened on the A490 at Church Stoke, Montgomery. Police and firefighters were on the scene.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “At 7.52am on Wednesday, December 18, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a road traffic collision had taken place in Montgomery involving one HGV and two cars. No persons trapped. Assistance from Mid and West Wales Fire Service.”

Two fire engines were sent to the scene from Bishops Castle.

West Midlands Ambulance Service and the Welsh Ambulance Service have been contacted for an update. 

The AA’s traffic website was showing no delays in the area as of 10.30am today.
