Newport Photography Club shares more stunning images
Newport Photographic Club held its second competition for the new season.

Part one of two was for the advanced section, covering Projected Digital Images and Intermediate Prints.
The competition was judged by Paddy Ruske who provided some very helpful comments and congratulated the club on the high quality of its competition entries.

In the Advanced Projected Images section, the winner was Dave Thorner with Reflections.
Second place went to Alan Gripton with Kingfisher Head First and third was Phil Green with Red Squirrel Dining in the Rain.

Fourth place went to Dave Thorner with Empire State of Mind and fifth was Howard Broadbent with Baker Street.

Sixth place was Maria Macklin with Stepping Down while there were highly commended awards for Mike Warrender with Dawn at Tower Bridge and Bill Spencer with Important Matters.

Mike Warrender (Clustered Bonnet) and Bill Spencer (Woodland Dusk) were highly commended.
In the Intermediate Prints section, first and second place went to Peter Palmer with Loud & Proud and Autumn.

Caron Malcolm was third with London Toy Town and Stephen Haycock finished fourth with Majestic Swan.

Dave Collier was fifth and sixth with This is Not an Apple and Georgia.

Professional wildlife photographer Mark Sisson has agreed to be our keynote speaker for this season and will be presenting his new talk “Under African Skies” in 2025.
