Non-profit Race Against Blood Cancer has launched an appeal to find a stem cell donor match for 21-year-old Marshall.
Marshall, from Telford, was diagnosed in 2023 with Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides, a rare and potentially aggressive type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. This has now progressed to large cell transformation.
Sadly, there is no current match on the stem cell register for Marshall.
Marshall's sister, Leah Anne, said: “Marshall has been fighting cancer since April 2023 and has remained positive and selfless throughout.
"Today, he found out that there is no match for a stem cell transplant that is crucial for his survival, I only have one little brother and I’m hopeful that he will stick around for the long run.
"We hope to find a match through the support of our friends, family and community.”
Race Against Blood Cancer has said it will be organising a number of donor recruitment drives in Telford for the public to attend to sign up to the stem cell register.
Those wishing to volunteer to help the charity find a match are encouraged to get in touch.
Marshall's family and friends are urging anyone who has not signed up to the stem cell register to join.
Those aged 16 to 30 can sign up via Anthony Nolan at anthonynolan.org/rabc or through the charity if aged from 31 to 55 at raceagainstbloodcancer.com/join.
