The event, which is a hugely popular attraction in Shrewsbury’s festive calendar, saw hundreds brave the rain to pack out the Market Square on Wednesday evening.
Shrewsbury Town Council organised the concert, which was broadcast live on BBC Radio Shropshire and hosted by Adam Green and Clare Ashford.
Music was provided by Shrewsbury Brass Band with members of the Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir leading the crowds with renditions of classic Christmas carols including 'Silent Night', 'On the First Day of Christmas' and 'O Little Town of Bethlehem'.
Despite the heavens remaining open for the entire evening, the square was packed full of happy anoraked carollers huddled under umbrellas.
