Drew Longbottom, aged 26, was producing crack cocaine in his tent in Shrewsbury and peddling that, as well as heroin and cocaine in the county town.

Shrewsbury Crown Court, sitting at Telford Justice Centre, was told how police followed a car in which he was a passenger on the A5 between Shrewsbury and Telford on September 25 this year.

The vehicle pulled up near a farm gate and Longbottom made a run for it across a nearby field. However, officers soon caught up with him.

Longbottom was searched and found to have £80 cash in his possession, as well as a bag of heroin weighing 13.41g, a bag of cocaine weighing 21.04g, a ball of heroin weighing 3.94g and a wrap of crack cocaine weighing 0.7g.
