Fire service called to help after two children locked in vehicle at Telford supermarket

The Shropshire fire service was called to a Telford supermarket after two young children were accidentally locked in a vehicle in the car park.

The incident on the Morrisons car park in Wellington saw the fire service attend at around 11.30am. One crew attended from the town's fire station.

A spokesperson for the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters released two "young children" from the vehicle and returned them to the care of their mother.

The incident was declared over by 12.15pm.
