A new Llandrindod Wells Christmas tree has been damaged
A new gold and white Christmas tree decoration in Llandrindod Wells has been damaged.
Town clerk Jane Johnston told members at a meeting last week that someone had pulled the wires back on the tree in the bottom corner.
She said it looked as though it had been done to allow someone to get inside the tree frame.
Ms Johnston said would notify the local Police and Community Support Officers about the damage as they conduct patrols in the area.
Meanhwile, she said the town had got off relatively lightly during the last storm, Darragh.
A tree sited at the Media Resource Centre fell down and has damaged the fence bordering the town council’s playing field.
Ms Johnston said The MRC owners will be dealing with this.
The three-tier planter at Cemetery Corner was knocked over. Everyone thought it was due to the storm initially but it appears it had been hit by a vehicle. The town council’s contractor had addressed it.
