A court was told that Wayne Christopher Evans of Falcons Way, Shrewsbury, has previous convictions for driving offences and magistrates added a year to a three-year mandatory driving ban because of that.
Evans, aged 35, pleaded guilty to driving a grey Peugeot 308 with a level of 55 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath, over the limit of 35.
He also admitted to having no insurance and to not wearing a seatbelt when he was stopped in York Road, Shrewsbury, on November 30, this year.
Prosecutor Kate Price told the court on December 24 that Evans had previous relevant offences going back to 2006, 2012-13 and 2019 against his name.
