An Easter bunny fun run in Builth Wells would be supported by the town council in principle.

Mary Griffiths of Mid and North Powys Mind contacted the council recently to ask for their thought on the idea.

She said the charity is considering holding a run or walk on Sunday, April 13 to follow the park run route on the Groe to raise funds for the charity.

Mary said she has not yet spoken to Lee Jarvis at Parkrun but she asked if the town council would support such an event, if there are any other events taking place in Builth around that time and whether it would clash with anything the town council is planning or anything else in town.

Builth Wells Mayor Councillor Gwyn Davies said: “I can’t see any reason why we would not support it.”

Members said if the event goes ahead they could also put it on their Facebook page to promote it.
