Heavy rain in Mid Wales has seen a number of routes affected by flooding - with the Airport road on the outskirts of Welshpool one of those now closed.
The A490, which goes to Forden, and leads on to Montgomery, regularly floods in heavy rain.
Spectacular pictures from Graeme Paddison, of From Above Drone Photography, have shown the route becoming impassable over the course of the morning.
He said the road had been completely closed as of around 1.30pm.
Posting on social media he said that the fire service were in attendance at the road, attempting to rescue a driver and a dog from the roof of a car which had gotten stuck in the water.
The driver was rescued by specialist fire officers using a boat from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service in Shrewsbury.
It comes after the fire service had earlier dispatched its water rescue team to help a driver stuck in flood water at Caerhowel, near Montgomery.
