Pub event provides welcome boost for Bradbury House
Staff at Bradbury House respite bungalow were delighted to receive a £500 donation thanks to the efforts of kind-hearted people in Shrewsbury.
The team from Bradbury House, run by the Action for Children charity, received a cheque from Deputy Mayor, Alex Wagner.
The money was raised through a charity night at the Monkmoor pub in Shrewsbury.
Bradbury House supports disabled children and their parents with regular overnight respite stays, activities and outings.
The charity night, which included live music, raffle, buffet and more than a touch of burlesque, was organised by Jennifer Watton, a friend of Bradbury House.
