Yellow and amber weather warnings for snow and freezing rain remain in place for Shropshire after temperatures plummeted. Heavy snow and some freezing rain in places is expected to cause disruption to travel this weekend.
The Met Office's yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place all weekend, while a more serious amber warning, also for snow and ice, covers the period between 6pm on Saturday and 12pm noon on Sunday.
During this time, the Met Office said, heavy snowfall is expected, anyone hoping to travel is likely to face severe disruption and "there is a good chance that some rural communities could become cut off".
