West Mercia Police officer and PCSO for Bridgnorth Town, Mandy Leek posted the appeal for residents of The Hobbins.

A property on the estate was burgled between December 23 and 24.

Offenders gained entry to the property whilst the owners were asleep and took two keys for vehicles, but then dropped them on the patio on the way out of the building.

The post said: "We are appealing to any residents on the Hobbins, Bridgnorth after a burglary took place at a property on the estate.

"The offenders gained entry through the back door of the property while the victims were asleep in bed. They made their way to the front door and took keys to two vehicles.

"They have then exited the property through the back door and dropped the keys on the patio so believed that they were possibly disturbed, so left empty-handed on this occasion.
