For those living in the Shropshire Council area of the county, you can no longer leave your tree out for collection unless you are a garden waste subscriber.
For those that pay the £52-a-year subscription fee, Christmas trees can be placed in garden waste bin for collection and recycling.
If the tree does not fit into the bin, Shropshire Council said it can be left next to the waste bin, but if it's taller than 5ft then it should be cut it into smaller pieces.
For those have not signed up to the garden waste collection scheme, your Christmas tree can still be taken to the local recycling centre free of charge.
However, a booking system was introduced last year, which means you have to book a slot on the Shropshire Council website.
For those in the Telford & Wrekin Council area, Christmas trees can be placed into the green bin for kerbside for collection.
Trees can also be taken to Telford & Wreking household recycling centres (HRC), which do not require households to book a slot.
Hortonwood and Halesfield HRCs are both open 9am - 5pm, seven days a week – including bank holidays (except Christmas day, Boxing day and New Years day)
