Knighton's Mayor's latest engagements including a carol service and Santa's grotto
Knighton’s Mayor has been to a leg club event, a carol service and finally welcomed Santa to his grotto.
Councillor Chris Branford told the town council that she had been to several lovely events recently.
She said was invited to the Knighton and Presteigne Leg Club to their big draw event. She said lots of prizes were given out and she enjoyed a lovely chat and a cup of tea there.
Knighton Primary School held their carol service at St Edwards Church recently and Councillor Branford said the church was full of children and parents and it was a wonderful occasion.
She said Santa finally made it to the Civic Centre after the town council’s Christmas event had to be postponed because of Storm Darragh. She said they welcomed lots of children to the event and they all received gifts.
Councillor Branford thanked all the councillors that had helped with the event.
